The summer event season kicked off yesterday with Sony’s State of Play and Konami’s Silent Hill Transmission. While there are still major events ahead, like the anticipated Xbox Showcase and the special on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6—which we know will launch on Game Pass—yesterday’s events provided a taste of what’s to come in the gaming world over the next few months.
Despite being a PlayStation-focused event, many of the games revealed at State of Play will also be available on Xbox and PC. This growing trend of multi-platform releases means that most of what was showcased yesterday won’t require a PlayStation 5, with only a few exceptions.
Here are the games from State of Play that will also be coming to Xbox and PC:
Silent Hill 2 Remake
One of the highlights of the event was the remake of Silent Hill 2 by Bloober Team. It is set to release on PC on October 8th.
God of War Ragnarök
The 2022 Game of the Year contender, along with its DLC, Valhalla, will be available on Steam starting September 19th as part of Sony’s new multi-platform strategy.
Monster Hunter Wilds
Capcom’s highly anticipated new installment in the Monster Hunter series will be available on multiple platforms and was showcased with a new gameplay trailer.
Marvel’s Rivals
This game, a blend of Overwatch and Smite created by NetEase featuring a plethora of Marvel superheroes, was confirmed for PC a few weeks ago. It will also be available on consoles, including Xbox.
Until Dawn Remastered
Much like God of War Ragnarök, the narrative horror game Until Dawn will be available on PC this fall through a remastered version of the original game by Supermassive.
Dynasty Warriors Origins
Fans of the musou genre will be thrilled to know that the legendary Dynasty Warriors franchise is back with action-packed gameplay and hundreds of enemies on screen. This game will also be available on Xbox.
